Sanskrit means "that what is made perfect", it is a perfected language standardized by the efforts of ancient Indian grammarians. Sanskrit is written in the Devanāgarī script and means "divine city" or "the city of Gods". The systematics of the Devanāgarī alphabet is one of the greatest legacies of ancient India to society.

Sir William Jones: "The Sanskrit language , whatever be its antiquity, is of a wonderful structure; more perfect than Greek, more copious than the Latin, and more exquisitely refined than either..." (Asiatic Society, Calcutta, 1786).

Hindi is an Indo-Aryan language predominantly spoken in India, where it serves as one of the official languages alongside English. Rooted in Sanskrit, Hindi developed in the northern plains of India, influenced by a blend of Persian, Arabic, Turkish, and Portuguese over centuries. 

Today, Hindi (written in devanāgarī Script) is one of the most widely spoken languages globally, with over 600 million speakers, and plays a crucial role in connecting diverse linguistic communities within and beyond South Asia.
